This tall bottle shape is made of stoneware clay and stands over 24 inches tall. It was coated with a homemade black slip and features a set of waves made by the artist’s fingers covered in slip. It was fired to cone 10 reduction.

This shape was inspired by the gravity of a black hole. It has an extreme geometry with an extremely thin flange on the exterior of vase. It was decorate with a black slip and was fired to cone 10 reduction. This is a flower vase that contrasts with the flowers that will be placed in it.

These pieces are a set that were made together. The clay body was a reclaim clay that was found from a local studio. The pieces were glazed with a matte blue underglaze to give a flat and bright blue color. The underglaze rested with the compounds in the reclaim clay to create beautiful metallic spots. Both pieces were decorated in a similar fashion to the Calligraphy Blackwork series, with one piece decorated with an ensō.

These three pigs were made to resemble personified fruit. The pig on the left is a strawberry, the center is a sleepy lemon, and the far right is an asian style melon. This series was the second rendition of the Lemon Pig series.

These small lemon pigs are a family of tiny lemons turned into pigs. Each pig has it’s own unique idenfier and personality.

This wheel thrown donut was covered in a variety of colorful underglazes. The colors flow and meld together to create a beautiful effect on the surface of the piece.

This painting was designed to create an illusion. It is on a 48” x 24” canvas. The concepts was to create a sculpture that appears 2D from most angles, but casts a shadow and implies volume in a 3D space. It features a 3D printed spine, coated with a variety of modeling pastes and specialty paints.
